Life under house arrest is a unique and often challenging experience. Suddenly finding yourself stuck to your own home can be both isolating and frustrating. While it may seem like freedom has been stripped away, there are ways to make the best of this situation. A multitude of activities can be enjoyed indoors, from playing games to connecting with loved ones virtually. Keeping a positive mindset and finding structure in your day are crucial for adjusting to this imprisoned lifestyle. Remember, house arrest is a temporary situation, and with the right attitude, it can be a time for growth.
Prisoned in My Keep
The dungeon's dampness/mouldy air/mustiness pressed against me, a constant reminder of my imprisonment/confinement/captivity. Outside, the world bustled/throbbed/hummed with life, oblivious to my plight. Walls Close In: A Home Confinement Story
The boundaries of my home were always like a refuge. Now they press in, a constant symbol of my restricted life. Days merge into one another, marked only by the click of the watch and the heavy weight in my chest. Every sound from outside is a cruel reminder of the life I left behind.
I wander through these confined rooms, hoping for some glimpse of hope. The rays that once danced across my floor now seem uncaring, and the stillness is deafening.

Enduring on Lockdown
Life as we understand it has drastically altered. The world past our doors is a blur of its former glory. We are now stuck within the walls of our homes, forced to adjust to a new lifestyle. The days blend, marked by the rhythm of online meetings, binging media, and eating. We crave for the simple activities that were once granted for granted: a hike in the park, a meal with friends, or even just a talk without a screen between us.
This new situation has brought challenges, but it has also revealed unexpected capacities within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more understanding, more resourceful, and more appreciative for the little things in life. As we navigate this uncharted territory, we must keep hopeful that brighter days are coming.
Six Feet From Freedom
Life behind home arrest bars is a harsh reality. Every day, you face boundaries that feel like an unbreakable barrier. The world outside seems so near, yet it's separated by just six feet.
Sometimes, the weight of those bars feels overwhelming. You long freedom with every fiber of your being. Each new day serves as a constant echo that you're confined.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a spark of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be liberated. That day might seem uncertain, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Chains of Liberty
The allure with freedom can be an enticing force. Yet, paradoxically, it can even lead to confinement. This occurs when the very notion for freedom becomes twisted, transforming into a tool for control and oppression.
Authentic freedom requires not only the absence with external constraints but also the cultivation of internal strength. When this inner base is lacking, even within a society that preaches freedom, individuals can find themselves ensnared within the boundaries of their own minds.
Consequently, the true measure with freedom lies in our ability to transcend the constraints that impede our potential, both externally and internally.
